ANDREA PAGNES AND VERENA STENKE "ONE EARTH'S DREAMING"
ANDREA PAGNES AND VERENA STENKE
You have already returned to become true.
While weve been always still standing the same.
(Man to the Earth)
ONE EARTH'S DREAMING
The male performer is under a carpet of earth, fully covered by earth and grass shaping a sort of a hill, a mini-scale, soft landscape.
He is wearing a headset microphone transmitting his deep breath continuously.
Flowers cover the field.
The female performer is sitting on this. She collects the flowers one by one and stitches them with a fine twine to the skin of her fingertips.
Papers and pencils are given to the spectators: they are requested to write a thought. They knot the etiquettes on the dress of the woman and then shift away some earth.
When the male performer is completely freed from earth and grass, he stands up, washes and dresses in a simple suit.
The woman takes off her dress with the written wishes.
They give out the flowers to the visitors. The earth is our witness.

ALL THAT IS INVISIBLE - GRACE IN THE SPACE
On the canvas that is. Grace Exhibition Space. A sound art-based, participatory, space-cleansing pre-performance performance.
UNIVERSAL POWER SUPPY - ANATOMUSIC PERORMANCE
Anatomusic is a new genre of experimental electronica that derives all its instrumentation from the body's movement-sound expression within the context of the situation explored via words by song lyrics.
By converting raw audio recordings into musical tones, timbres, ambiances and rhythmic units, the Anatomusic creation and digital elaboration process result in a unique musical soundscape, give a voice to the body and raise consciousness via the physical dimension of human life - the body.

Opened in 2006, Grace Exhibition Space is devoted exclusively to Performance Art. We offer an opportunity to experience visceral and challenging works by the current generation of international performance artists whether emerging, mid-career or established. Our events are presented on the floor, not on a stage, dissolving the boundary between artist and viewer. This is how performance art is meant to be experienced and our mission is the glorification of performance art.
Grace Exhibition Space presents over 30 curated live performance art exhibitions each year, showcasing new work by more than 400 performance artists from across the United States and the world since 2006.
