ANTONI KARWOWSKI [POLAND]
Antoni Karwowski studied Fine Arts in the University of Torun in Poland. Since 1970 he has developed his work in performance art growing within the context of the Communist Regime. In 1978 he founded the “A” group organizing numerous clandestine art actions. Besides, he has managed many international projects like “Gaia the four elements”, “Trawnik”, “Art migration” and has curated the following projects: Performance & Intermedia Festival, Video Art Festival Pi and the European Film Festival DokumentART.
As an artist he has participated in many international venues such as the Festival Forum Est-West in Germany, the Interakcje International Performance Art Festival (Poland), LP 11 at CCCB in Barcelona (Spain), Performance Art Platform in Tel Aviv, CO-LAB Editions in Berlin, Self Portrait in Santa Fe, Rosario (Argentina), TRAWNIK III at the Moltkerei Werkstatt and Distance 777 at the 68elf gallery in Cologne (Germany), Bridge West / East (Belgium, Germany, Netherlands), Four Elements Festival in Gerlesborg (Sweden), the IV and V International Baltic Biennial, Szczecin (Poland) and the Festival Nakskov in Ärhus (Denmark).
In his words: “I play a ‘game’ within the realms of reality, memory, and vision. In their common tension I search for evidence of universal clarity. It’s precisely this area where I try to define my worries, desires, hopes”.
His performances are strongly filled with symbols and mythos which connect him as a particular individual with universal values of humanism and playing with the strong interaction between reality and past.
Interviewed by Irene Pascual and Johnny Amore in Szczecin.

SUKA OFF is a Poland based artist collective existing since 1995. The members of SUKA OFF are Piotr Wegrzynski (founder, visual artist, performer) and Sylvia Lajbig (classical philologist, performer). They have been creating work across visual theatre, performance art, club action, installation, photography, video art and music visuals. SUKA OFF’s work has been presented in theatres, art galleries, clubs and festivals in most European countries, as well as in USA, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Japan. The recurring themes of SUKA OFF art are: - the human carnality in all its biological and physiological aspects - the attempt to redefine the gender by blurring the individual attributes / sexual codes culturally arrogated to the male and female - the search of alternative and radical forms of communication based on the connection between the living human body and electronic devices - the postindustrial aesthetics, the "clash" between human body and the substance of steel / aluminum / concrete / silicone etc.
S U K A O F F :GABRIELA MUREB [BRAZIL]
