Dear Grace Exhibition Space Community,
We hear you. We see you. We support you. Black Lives Matter. Grace Exhibition Space wholly condemns the brutal and racist policing that is omnipresent in the United States. We extend solidarity to the black community and all who protest violence against BIPOC.
As an arts organization, we believe that art and artists have the potential to create bridges of communication, to uplift voices that must be heard, and to discover solutions that may not have been seen before. May we, together, find avenues for change towards true racial justice and equity.
We commit to making a change. We will be examining ways to achieve anti-racism policies and practices. We will be creating strategies on how to move ahead in the next week, next month and next year, to fulfill the values needed to promote further racial equity.
We are committed to and hold ourselves accountable for addressing these challenges.
We will be taking this time to continue to educate ourselves on this vital issue, as we know that we don’t know enough. We will work to implement ways to promote anti-racism in ourselves, our organization, and our community. We encourage activism.
Sincerely,
GES Board of Directors
