CW01 from Cleaning Women &Johanna Sipil´┐Ż [Finland]

Despite looking like a gang of sharp and stylish cross-dressing zombies, Cleaning Women is also known for their alternative ways in choosing their instruments. Instead of regular music stores, these professors head for trash bins and home accessory shops in search for “other sounds”. And so it must be, as their weapons of choice include string instruments made out of clotheshorses and a drumset that includes parts from at least 3 washing machines.
Johanna Sipilä is a painter, and a dj by the name dj Jojo200. She also does performance occationally. Dj Jojo200 's favourite music is alternative sounds from Finnish forrests, Finnish tango, swamp blues, different kinds of world music, good rock and everything that feels in your guts + silence. She has been exhibiting her paintings mostly in Finland, Sweden and Estonia since 2000 and dj:ing for example every year in Midnight Sun Film Festival in Lapland. She also likes to organize parties and festivals

Non Grata [Estonia]

Voluntarily Out of Focus
Around the name NON GRATA there have been different hushes and shushes for a long time. Already from the point of view of death of conventionalization of art it has embodied the horrible and unwanted disembodiment of human person, from which the meaninglessness of nowadays art, is pouring out. For those, whose world of arts starts from the point, where the art world ends, NON GRATA has been a liberator, the orphic gap in the seemingly unalterable course, which however betrays us, it is a cure from incest. The main point of the group is ethical - it is the image of primitivism, impersonality and experimental creativity. The performances of the group take place according to the logic of avoiding codes. The presentations are physical texts, whose ways of orthography and reading are kept within limits of real actions by the group members. Aesthetical and provocative challenges are represented in places, where the Art World doesn't work.
NON GRATA is a international performance group from Estonia with floating membership. In Non Grata there has been more than 300 members during last 12 years from all over the world. The main characteristics is anonymity in group work, ignorance of local art world and mass media. Group has performed in Asia, Europe, South and North America with street actions, chaotic space and context specific performances and long lasting ghetto marathons.
